Adrenal Fatigue
Happy Wednesday. I hope you are doing well. I have been a bit off the grid the past couple of months. I thought I would chat a little bit about adrenal fatigue today. I have been hearing quite
a few chatting about adrenal fatigue. There is no quick fix for adrenal fatigue, simply swallowing some supplements isn't going to cut it. Life style is a key factor and having to make some changes is where it really is at. I am not a doctor, so do consult with a naturopathic/chiropractic professional before starting any treatments. The supplements, herbs and oils mentioned in this blog are for information only.
Diet is a key factor to much of the modern problems today. Label reading is really important. We are bombarded by chemicals, toxins and poisons everywhere we turn. What is fuel is going into your body to make it function? Fruits? Vegetables? Too much refined sugar? Too much refined carbohydrates? Too much fast food? Too much caffeine? Diet is a great place to start, even starting with one meal at a time. Starting somewhere is great! Adding free range eggs, dates, grass fed meats, wild caught fishes, raw and sprouted nuts and nut milks, lettuce, colorful vegetables and leafy greens, and fruits like berries, bell peppers, broccoli, cauliflower, swiss chard, spinach, dark chocolate, almonds, bananas, spinach, snow peas, kale, guava, papaya, kiwi, oranges, strawberries, wheat germ oil, sunflower seeds, hazelnuts and pineapple. Drinking plenty of clean water. Adding grass fed collagen or bone broth to your diet. Good fats such as avocado, coconut oil and olive oil. For us personally, I make shakes in the morning. It is a great way to add homemade kefir, raw milk, good fats, fruits, collagen, greens, dates, trace minerals and some supplements.
Some good supplements to look into for your routine to support your body would be vitamin C, between 2,000-4,000 mgs daily. Tyrosine. Magnesium. Vitamin D. L-Theanine. Glutathione. B complex vitamins. Vitamin E. Calcium. Thyromin. CortiStop. Trace minerals. TRS. Fulvic Acid. A good multi- vitamin. Like I have said in previous blogs, please do your research as far as quality supplements. Quality really does matter, label reading does matter on anything you would consume inside your body or put on your body, nonetheless. Making sure you are getting plenty of sleep and rest. Engaging in moderate and low impact exercise such as walking, Pilates, swimming. Hard intense work outs can actually make adrenal fatigue worse. Regular massages are great to look into. Detox baths are wonderful. Taking time to meditate and doing breath work.
Herbs are wonderful for adrenal fatigue as well. Herbs such as Holy Basil Leaf, Licorice Root, Rhodiola Rosea, Ashwaganda, Maca Root, Ginger Root, Ginkgo Biloba, Ginseng Root, Passion Flower, and Cacao.
Essential oils are also great to look into. Oils such as grapefruit, basil, clove, geranium, rosemary, sandalwood, bergamot, frankincense, lavender, peppermint, Endoflex, Copaiba, roman chamomile, mandarin, vanilla, ylang-ylang, black spruce, clary sage, and thyme. You can make a blend of these oils and apply them over the kidney area, on the bottoms of the feet and on the forearms 2xs a day.
Just like I mentioned about quality supplements and food, quality oils really matter as well. A side note, I am a rep for Young living if you would like any help with the purchase of oils, plus I can make you any specific blends of oils and herbs, as I have an apothecary studio with all the suggested oils and herbs I have mentioned above. I have an Etsy store as well for other wellness and chemical free products under Earth Body and Love.
I hope you have a great weekend. Remember to breathe, remember to rest, drink clean water, do some stretches, take breaks from electronics, add detoxifying plants around your home for clean air. My last suggestion, check into cutting the chemical exposure in your home, whether it is cleaning products, dish soaps, laundry soaps, shower gels, shampoos and conditioners, hand soaps, just your every day things you have in your home. Label read. Changing these things here and there make a world of difference to your health. Happy healing and weekend to you! Much love and light.
